Red Wagon Growth Marketing Agency
When we first launched our podcast, we had no way of knowing whether it would succeed. While the data showed we could possibly find an audience, we also knew it would be quite competitive. However, after launching our podcast, we can confidently say that if you have an idea, you should get started.
The only way your podcast- will grow is if you have a stable audience that keeps coming back for more. This means you will need to identify a niche and stick with it. If your podcast- is all over the place, you will have a hard time maintaining or even growing your audience.
Sometimes, an interesting point may arise that you can just not ignore. However, it is always a good idea to have some pre-recorded episodes, which you release on a weekly basis. This way, your followers will always know they can expect something on a regular basis.
When you advertise on social media, most of the time, the audience will go to the landing page. Most of the content is usually between 700 to 1500 words. This is usually not enough to fit in all the content that you need. However, we found that we could do much more with just a simple podcast- of about 15 to 30 minutes. We are able to fit in much more content and topics in a single podcast- than we could ever hope to fit in a blog post. This is because we are able to capture the attention of our audience much longer than any blog post. In most cases, readers usually skim through the main points to cut out as much time as possible spent reading a Blog post. What did we do with all the extra attention? The most obvious is podcast advertising. However, you have to be careful when using podcast marketing. You do want to sound too salesy. Otherwise, your audience will just switch off.
Podcasting is more than just a great way to generate content for your niche audience. Podcast marketing can be quite effective at helping a business grow its sales. The good thing about a podcast- is that you already understand your niche. These people will only subscribe to your podcast- and stay around if they like your content. Thus, you have a readymade niche audience, who can be targeted using podcast advertising.
Most search engines are always changing the rules of how they rank content. However, at its most basic, search engines want to deliver high-end content to their users. Thus, if a particular podcast- performs extremely well, you can repurpose the content.
